A bit about us.
Our aim has always been to get people growing. It makes good sense. Growing vegetables gives you a supply of food you can rely on. It tastes much better than shop bought. No nasty additives. And it is great for the mind and body.
Many years ago, my wife and I moved house. It had a massive garden. All covered in grass. I thought what a waste. So we decided to grow vegetables. So I read. A lot. The first year was a disaster, but gradually we became quite good at it. Happy days.
When my wife was a teenager, she was badly injured in a car accident. The specialist at the time told her that when she was older she would suffer greatly with her back. He was right. So I started looking for a method of gardeneing that did not involve a lot of bending. In America strawbale gardening was getting recognised. I read up on it, and spent a year ecperimenting with it in the UK. It involved less bending. No soil is needed. No weeds and there is no waste. I became very proficient at it. A friend sugested I start a Facebook page on the subject. It went from strength to strength. With the help of Lincoln University I made a DVD and built a website. Strawbaleveguk was born. I have also written an e-book which is very popular.
Fast forward, I now have my own range of premium quality vegetable, herb and flower seeds. Seven types of growing kit, which I truly believe are the best on the market. Our aim is still the same. To get people to grow food.
