Planting and sowing instructions
Sow March To May. Harvest June to September. Grow from March to May on good seed compost and cover thinly with compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or sealed container inside a polythene bag. Germination takes up to 21 days. Grow on in cooler conditions until large enough to go outdoors. Acclimatize to outdoors over 7days. Plant 30cm apart. This plant is vigorous so growing in containers is best.

An unusual lettuce with a resemblance to a leaf AND an iceberg lettuce. Forty-five days to maturity. Half hardy. Crops spring onwards. Long growing season. Start indoors or outdoors. Sow depth, one and a half inch with dibber. Sow one seed per centimetre. Plant height 8-12”.
Harvest small when tender or wait until they form a large head. Grow in pots, containers, growbags or raised beds. Sow March-June, harvest July-October. Sow two seeds per cell tray, in a greenhouse etc. Thin to one plant when they can be handled, and when root ball is established. They enjoy full sun or light shade. Sow 30cm between plants and 45 cm between rows. From mid-April can be sown directly outdoors. Sow 2 seeds 2cm deep every 25cm. When large enough to handle, thin to one plant. Cover with fleece.
