Planting and sowing instructions
Sow Jan, Feb, March and Apr. Flowers Jun, July, Aug and Sept. Harvest Jul, Aug, Sept, Oct. Can be grown under cover in greenhouses and polytunnels. Or grown outdoors in a sunny position that is sheltered. Sow as early as January in moist peat free compost, in a propagator, under a grow lamp to stop plants going leggy. Sow in March if you do not have a propagator. Pot young plants and grow them on in warm frost free conditions. When well grown transfer to grow bags or containers, or beds of well prepared soil. If growing outside then acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 10 days. Space 50cm apart.
