Nasturtiums belong in a companion planted garden because they are beloved by aphids and so act as a sort of “trap crop”. They are favoured over most other plants and aphids make a bee line for them. The aroma can also confuse pests. Ideal planted around or near broccoli, cauliflower, brussels, cabbage, corn, peppers, cucumbers, radishes, kale, squash and pumpkins. Just £2.39 for 20 seeds.

Compact with small dark leaves. Produces a lot of bright rose flowers.
Planting and sowing instructions
Sow March to May. Flower June to September. Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake the soil finely before sowing. Sow 20mm deep in rows 30cm apart. For earlier flowering sow seeds 1cm deep and three seeds per 7.5cm pot in damp seed compost. Place at 20-29C until after germination and gradually acclimatise to the outdoors. Before planting into containers ensure plants are well rooted in their pots. Thin out to 15cm apart when the seedlings are large enough to handle.
