This type is mainly grown for its bulbous roots which are popular in many types of cooking. This variety produces large white round bulbs.
Planting and sowing instructions
Sow April, May, June and July. Harvest July, August, September and October. Sow from April to July, in pots of good seed compost, 13mm deep. Place in a propagator or seal a container and place in a polythene bag until after germination, which takes up to 14 days. Transfer to beds outside. Allow 30cm between plants in rows 45cm apart.
